What is Yotism?

Welcome to Yotism: Yoga for Autism and Neurodiversity!

As a Yotism yoga teacher, I am dedicated to providing healing and support to individuals on the autistic and neurodiverse spectrum. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where people with autism and other neurodiverse conditions can explore the trans formative power of yoga.

Yotism is an innovative approach to yoga that focuses on holistic support and well-being for individuals on the spectrum. By combining the principles of traditional yoga with specialized techniques and adaptations, I strive to make yoga accessible and empowering for all.

Through yoga, individuals can develop a deep sense of body awareness, improve motor-neuron organization, and gently reset the nervous system. This creates a shift from a state of “survival” mode to a feeling of internal safety and coping. My aim is to help individuals transition from simply surviving to truly thriving!

I understand the unique challenges and sensitivities faced by individuals on the autism and neurodiverse spectrum. Using Yotism’s techniques and specialized adaptations to make yoga enjoyable and beneficial for everyone. These adaptations may include modified poses, variations, and adjustments to suit individual abilities and sensory sensitivities.

Working with individuals and schools, I offer yoga sessions that are tailored to meet specific needs and goals. Whether it’s a one-on-one session or a small group class, I create a supportive environment that encourages self-expression, self-regulation, and self-discovery. Together, we can cultivate inner strength and enhance overall well-being through the practice of Yotism yoga.
