What is the difference in TOTS classes, KIDS classes & Teen classes?

TOTS is designed for preschools & nurseries for children aged from 2 years up. Class duration 25-30 minutes. Classes will be a mixture of basic breathing techniques and fun simple yoga moves, sometimes with music and dance and sometimes using stories and games. The classes are fast paced to keep the childrens interest but will wind down towards the end with calmer poses and ending with a mini relaxation. Classes can tie in with most themes the setting is “studying” if required.

KIDS – For ages 5 upwards, lessons can be from 45-60 minutes classes using age appropriate stories, rhymes, songs, music and games to make learning yoga fun. We will always start with a warm up, move onto poses, songs/stories, a fun yoga game then a couple of wind down poses before ending the class with relaxation.

SPECIAL KIDS – After adding my Level 1 with Special Yoga I can offer private one to one classes or mini group classes of Yoga Therapy to support children with additional needs. The class will be tailored to meet the needs of the child/ren but are normally a calmer more structured lesson. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all.

TEENS – up to 18yrs -1 hour class.  A more adult style class, but still using the odd game, some partner poses and music to make the class a nice mix of exercise, wellbeing & fun. Relaxation & breathing techniques will be shared to help teens counteract this busy stressful life we lead, this can be used to help exam stress & anxiety and are tools they will be able to take with them through life’s ups & down.

Can I just turn up for the lesson or do I need to pre-book?

Currently Namaste Kids & Teens Yoga is only operating private school lessons. If you think your school would benefit please feel free to pass my details onto you Nursery manager/head teacher.

What should my child wear for their Namaste session?

Yoga is a physical activity so PE kit is preferred. Feet are bare.


Having a drink of water and a healthy snack if they are coming into an after school class will help with their concentration and enable them to get the best out of the class.
