All new children are offered a FREE trial class. Please contact Namaste Kids to pre-book (subject to space). Normal drop in charges per session and all are subject to space however pre-paying per 5/6 week term guarantee’s a place and give you a discount – please ask for more info.

What is the difference in TOTS classes, KIDS classes & Teen classes?
TOTS is for preschool children from 2 years and is 25-30 minutes of yoga then 15 minutes of freeplay. Parents stay and interact in the class. Refreshments are included for parents & children. Classes & fun, lively & fast paced.
KIDS is for ages 5-11 years and is a 45 minutes yoga class using age appropriate stories, rhymes, songs, music and games to make the class fun. We start with warm up, move onto poses and end the class with relaxation. Parents are not required to stay for KIDS however it is preferred they stay on site, Benenden village hall has a room to wait and you are welcome to make your own tea/coffee with supplies provided by Namaste Kids – a perfect way to catch up with a book and have some me time or chat with other parents.
TEENS from 13yrs to 18yrs -1 hour class. A more adult style class but using some games, partner poses and music to make the class a nice mix of exercise, wellbeing & fun. Relaxation & breathing techniques will be shared to help teens counteract this busy stressful life we lead, this can be used to help exam stress & anxiety and are tools they will be able to take with them through life’s ups & down.
Can I just turn up for the lesson or do I need to pre-book?
Pre-booking is recommended as class sizes are kept small to enable the children & teens to get my full attention while teaching, if the class has space in it then you are welcome to come along and try it out just contact Namaste Kids & Teens by email or phone and we will reserve a place for your child or teen. Please contact me for more information. Class size – Maximum of 12 children per KIDS class, 8 in a TOTS class, 15 in Teen classes or more in schools with a TA/teacher present.
What should my child wear for their Namaste session?
Yoga is a physical activity and children should come in comfortable clothing e.g. shorts/leggings/ t-shirt or long sleeve top in winter. Feet are bare. Mats will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
Having a drink of water and a healthy snack if they are coming into an after school class will help with their concentration and enable them to get the best out of the class, but don’t forget the all important visit to the toilet before the class starts.
